COLOUR REFRESH

WHAT THE REFRESH LOOKS LIKE.
Q: What are the new core colours, and what are the In Colors that are returning as core colours?
A: The four new colours are called Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry, and Smoky Slate. The seven returning In Colors as core colours are Blushing Bride, Calypso Coral, Island Indigo, Pear Pizzazz, Pool Party, Soft Sky, and Wisteria Wonder.

Demonstrator Q&A
Customer Flyer

THE REASON FOR THESE CHANGES.
Q: Why are colours being discontinued?
A: We retired colours based on sales history and focus group feedback. We also looked at our overall colour offering and determined what colours were not working with others. We sent out surveys, looked at trends, and determined what colours are out of date, etc.
Q: Why have some of the carryover colours changed collections?
A: With the changes, we found that a few colours fit better in a different collection. We also organised our colours to be more complementary within each collection.
THE COLOUR REFRESH IS EXCITING, BOTH FOR YOUR BUSINESS AND YOUR HOBBY.
Q: How will this help me?
A: Updating styles and colours is good. It means that you will always have up-to-date products to offer to your customers. Plus, you love to create, so you will also have up-to-date products for your own projects.
Q: What should I do with my colour products that will retire at the end of the Annual Catalogue?
A: Promote them! Featuring them at your parties and events through Make & Takes and other samples should help you deplete any stock you currently have of those colours. You can also give retiring products away as door prizes or hostess gifts. And remember, retiring products are a great reason to contact your customers so they can get what colours they want and need while they’re still available. Retiring colour products are available while supplies last.
HOW THIS WILL AFFECT YOU AS A DEMONSTRATOR.
Q: How much is this going to cost me as a demonstrator?
A: Cost is a factor that we heavily considered in our decisions because we recognize the need for you to keep your costs down as a demonstrator as much as possible. We encourage you to invest in the new colour products at a rate that works for you—you don’t have to get everything all at once! You may also already own products in some of the returning In Colors and may therefore have no
need to purchase those colours at this time.
Q: Will Stampin’ Up! offer any discounts on the new colour products to make the transition easier?
A: We will not be offering any discounts on the new colour products, however, there is added value built in the colour kits. And during April and May, you can receive some colour products at a discount or free, which can be a significant benefit. And don’t forget, you and your customers may already have some of our previous In Color ink pads, paper, and markers!
Having exciting, new products is a great incentive to buy from you, and a great opportunity for income from your sales. Why not let your sales on new colour products pay for your personal investment into the new colours?
THE TIMING OF THIS REFRESH.
Q: When can I tell customers about the colour refresh?
A: You can begin telling customers about the colour refresh immediately. For details about what you can show customers and what images you can display online, see “Use of Stampin’ Up! Photography and Graphics for Advertising Policy” and “Internet/Website Policy” in chapter 5 of the Demonstrator Manual.
Q: When will the new colour kit be available, and will it be available to customers, too?
A: The new colour kit will be available to demonstrators during the demonstrator preorder starting May 31, and it will be available for your customers starting July 1. The kit will be available through the catalogue year. All other new colour products will be available with the new catalogue on July 1, with select products available for demonstrator preorder on May 31.
Q: What about my new recruits? If they sign up between now and the end of May, will they still receive old colours?
A: Remember that the Starter Kit is mostly customisable, so you’ll want to make sure your new recruits only add colours that will carry over into the next catalogue. Beginning May 31, new recruits can choose anything on preorder—including new colour items.
